As parents, you may be struggling to think of ways to get your kids outside, especially as days turn colder and darker. Or maybe you’re worried about keeping them busy over Christmas holidays. That’s where we come in! And the best thing? It’s all free.
We have put together a series of crafts that encourage your children to put down their screens, get their coats on and get arty. From making leaf selfies to creating Christmas crafts, we have lots coming up for them to get stuck into.
So, supervise and hand it over. This one’s for them!
You’ve probably drawn a picture of yourself before, but this time, let’s do it with leaves! Get your boots on wrap up warm, and let’s collect some leaves. Make sure to tag us if your parents want to share it, too.
First off, let's start off with what you'll need.
Supplies:

Step one: draw yourself
Take a look in the mirror and then draw the outline of your face. Make sure to draw your eyes, nose, mouth and then colour yourself in to finish!

Step two: time to add your hair
Now it’s time to get gluing. Arrange your leaves around your face to create your hair. You get cut the leaves, flowers and sticks to fit around your face, too!
It’s best to stick these on with a glue gun, but remember, the glue gun will be hot so make sure to get an adult involved to help you. You can even use a glue stick if you don’t have a glue gun.

Step three: complete
Now your portrait is done, leave it for a couple of hours to dry.
Once dry, it can be framed or hung on your wall. Now everybody can see your art skills!
