Magnum Panther 8.0 Side Zip Work Boot

Not fit for police use. I bought these in July 2023 online from Millets. They're abysmal and falling bits. The outside is scruffy peeling and the sole is coming away from the actual shoe. This started about 6 months ago. Kept meaning to check warranty but left to late I'm just out the warranty now not sure if included with Millets purchase.

Bought as a patrol boots and used 5 times a week daily .sole peeled away and leather bubbled and peeled . Shocking

These are unlikely to fail in the 28 days Millets give you for return. Magnum themselves give you a year, but you pay that much more, with their prices, for the privilege. Unless you buy direct, they don't publish reviews. Bottom line; these are cheap boots that will fail irritatingly soon (mine split in under a year), with just regular, gentle use. They are not hardcore three figure boots that you're getting for a bargain price. Magnum themselves are just a name these days, these are just cheap boots, made in China, with their name on. So long as that's all what you expect, er, fill yer boots

Bought these and worn them for the last 5 months (sitting in a classroom setting so not walking around all day), the sole has started to come off. Definitely won’t buy another pair.

Boots fit well and easy to put on and take off with side zip.

Boot coating blisteref and peeled within one month of use. Very poor quality from a make that used to be reliable.

as the title says, i am a response police officer and have been wearing these boots daily for the last 3 years. Despite being told to steer well clear of Magnums for my role i have found them to be very comfortable, durable and much lighter on the wallet than the likes of Altberg and Lowa. Just ordered my second pair today after mine have begun perishing but for £59 and 3 years of wear they're well worth it !

Great boots, been wearing these boots for years, I'm a firefighter & these boots are what I wear with my blacks, wear these all day, very lightweight indeed, you wouldn't know you have them on, its like wearing slippers or comfy trainers on your feet, the side zips are also the handiest thing about the boots, allows easy access on & off for when I need these off in a hurry. Can't fault them in any way at all, will buy again & recommend without hesitation. So stop thinking about these boots & treat your feet !!

I've wore magnum boots for work for years. But never bought any. Work stopped doing them and can't wear any other ones. I've got arthritis in my right foot ,and these are superb. I might get another pair while there on offer!!! Best boots I've had! Awesome

Purchased a pair last August 2022 returned them in February having worn them in a classroom environment whilst training due to the sole coming away, exchanged and now the second pair are going back for a full refund due to the sole coming away and the leather coating peeling. Magnums are not what they used to be a pair would last me 2+ years but lately they are just cheap rubbish…. Spend a little bit more and buy a better brand.

have been getting these boots for the last 7 years as i wear them all the time for long periods of time and there great will be getting more when i am away this weekend so i know i have them for the next year like to change them once a year but could go a lot longer just my choice to change them

I bought these November just gone and have already started to separate from the sole, I am gutted as very comfy still

Brought these boots around a month ago,I have one split on right side of boot& one chunk completely has come away! Not really happy ,they are comfy but now most probably not waterproof anymore ,last boots lasted 10 yrs but they were bates so I will get another pair now

2nd pair of these I've bought for wife.
1st pair lasted 5 months, one zip is stuck, the other doesn't close teeth. They weren't great from the get-go.
Bought this pair as they're cheaper now & she needs side zip due to joint issues.
Out of the box unworn one zip snags & needs the slider run up & down to zip up-useless if you can't pull hard. The other zip isn't free running either, just not as bad.
Disappointingly YKK zips which I thought were immune from this behaviour.
Shame as boots are very comfortable
I'd avoid as that's 2 pair now with same issue.
Magnum haven't suited zips to purpose.

I live in my boots. I literally wear them all day long, from 8am to 10pm, all week (20,000+ steps each day) and over the weekend (30,000+ steps each day, often in grotty conditions), but these boots have stood up to five years of that kind of (ab)use - for comparison, I wear out Dr Martens in six months. This pair were the first Magnums I ever owned, and finally they're dying; they will most definitely be replaced with another pair (I'll keep them, though. A pair of boots which serves so well deserves to be retired, not thrown away!)

Great boots, this is my second pair of these boots in a year, I walk about 22,000 steps a day. fit very well, ~I have only replaced them due to insole totally worn out.

Very pleased with my purchase, these boots are made for walking and that's what I going to do .

Brought these boots , as i know this make as a comfortable boot , i am on my feet all day, so four months on ,very comfy , but sad to say the have not fared too well, i thought the boots were leather tops ,but they have started to separate from what ever the main part of the boot is stuck to, ie peeling off like a snake ! and where the sole rubber comes up at the front ,by your toes has started to unglue. so great looking light boot , but could do better.
