Berghaus Air 6XL Inflatable Family Tent

This tent is the best tent we have ever bought. It has withstood many high wind storms where other tents on various sites have broken or ripped. It’s never let us down I would highly recommend,

We have only used it 4 times for camping with our familiy according to instructions. Last month we were camping and one air beam created a bump and a flysheet got torn. An air beam is not torn. There was nothing we could do and we could not use our tent anymore. According to repairman there is a mistake in a material. The store does not addmit their part of responsibility. Do not buy it!

This product I bought from the Eastbourne Milletts store, is incredible!! Best tent ever. Buy it!! Don’t hesitate it’s out of this world, as was the service from Lauren in store. Credit to the company.

Great value for money and good quality against comparable sized Air tents. Easy to erect and deflate and pack away ( but do follow advice for deflating any similar shaped Air tents and packing away via you tube vids, if you try and wing it you wont fit it back into bag!)

This tent is simply amazing. Used many times in 2020. It is spacious and easy to erect (by single person). Groundsheets are all sewn in and the bedrooms have dividers that can be left up/down for 1, 2 or 3 rooms.
Few minor niggles:
1) would be nice if there were pockets for guylines when folding.
2) the instructions need to be attached to tent and diagrams and not words (ala Decathalon tents)
3) Going up is easy. Harder to get down & deflated - and is tight fit in bag.
4) the bag is BIG. U need to measure your boot.

Also make sure you get the footprint as makes so much easier drying.

Pros- loads of space, lots of light, really well made and super easy to put up / take down.
Cons- very heavy.
The first night we used the tent we were caught in a gale near the coast with the wind blowing on to the back of the tent. When the wind reached force 9/10 the air beam at the back of the tent collapsed onto the ground making the bedrooms unusable. The beams and tent were fine and when the wind eased the beam popped back ok, little nerve racking at the time but not unusual for air tents apparently as they are designed to do this.

Purchased a Berghaus Airl 6XL it is roomy, spacious, incredibly easy to assemble, everything it suggested when we made the purchase. Delighted with it.

Bought end Aug 2018. Now on our 5th pitch - this time in Italy. Only 2 of us most of the time but we like space, and this tent has bags of it. Bought the porch too which we set up as a kitchen. We use the bedroom space as one large room with a double height blow up bed. It held up in the most unbelievable weather conditions a few days ago, though unsurprisingly the porch did not fair quite as well as the main tent . Yes it’s heavy, yes it’s a pain to get back in the bag until you get the knack. And yes you have to make sure your campsite has large pitches, but I would definitely recommend.

We bought this tent for family holidays with our two little boys. Age 1 and 3. It’s an amazing tent with plenty of room in the living area so as not to feel cramped on those rainy days.
The air feature is amazing and saves the many arguments which inevitably happen during pile construction. It goes up in super quick time and the sleeping area is already attached, so you are all ready to go in no time at all.
Love our new tent.

I have had used this tent 3 times now and must say it’s fantastic. The shear size and the fact that’s its so easy to pitch is enough to give it 10 out of 10. But I have now been able to experience it under wind and wet weather and have to say it’s was faultless. Strong wind doesn’t seem to affect it at all and it didn’t let a single drop of water in during heavy rain. I can stand up virtually anywhere in the tent and it’s got loads of space. I would recommend getting the ground sheet as a must and we also got the Berghaus wind stop wind break to make a private wind free area at the front.

We bought this in 2018,used it 4 times already. I love this tent. We have just come back from a rather wet weeks holiday. Every night our group gathered in our tent as there was just so much room, easily fitting 8 at meal times when it was pouring outside. When it is just our family of 4 this tent is brilliant, lots of space for the kids to lie on the floor and play. We have added the porch which is great for cooking and keeping dry. We have perfected packing it away now... fold 6 times, and roll it, then open it back up and roll it a 2nd time then it goes straight in the bag. Brilliant tent.

Terrific product and the price cannot be beaten as I looked significantly. The tent itself is large and heavy when packed but great piece of equipment.

Order placed on 16/04/19, no email confirming order. Chased on 18/04/19 to request email be sent to confirm order and enable tracking - no email received. Phoned again on 23/04/2019 to advise of above and was told the order had been lost and asked if I would like a replacement. I was advised no email could be sent as it was a replacement order but I would be phoned on 27/04/2019 to confirm the order had been sent - no phone call. Complaint sent without acknowledgement or reply. Absolutely terrible service from start to finish. Unfortunately there is no facility to award minus stars.

Bought this tent in early 2017, primarily on reputation of Berghaus. The quality is obvious when you first see it and the air beam system is beyond easy, takes literally 10 minutes to put up. Once up you have a massive living space and 3 bedrooms you can alter to your needs. We have had no issues with this tent, last trip we had a storm, heavy rain and high winds gusting at 50mph from 6pm to 8am, up all night worried but no need, the tent held up. several other tents collapsed around us, the airbeam system just gives with the wind and no leaks. Massively impressed with it.10/10
