Terms & Conditions
By taking part in this promotion you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, then you should not take part in the promotion. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before entering the promotion. We, Blacks Outdoor Retail Limited trading as Millets (“Millets”), recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the promotion. Millets is the administrator of this promotion which is promoted by Travel Planners.
1.What can you win?
There will be 1 winner who will win a trip to Portland, United States for two people. The trip includes return flights from London Heathrow Airport to Portland International Airport, 7 nights’ accommodation plus economy car hire for the duration of the trip (the “Prize”). Travel must be completed by 17th October 2019. The Prize may not be exchanged for a cash value, nor is it transferable. The Prize is subject to winner confirmation from Millets. Millets has the right to change, alter or withdraw the promotion or Prize at any time due to any change in any applicable law or any events outside the control of Millets. Millets shall not be responsible for any delay, cancellation or rescheduling of the Prize. If any part of the Prize is not claimed (for whatever reason), Millets is under no obligation to supply an alternative prize.
2.What is excluded from the Prize?
It is the winners’ responsibility to organise and fund anything excluded from the Prize. Food and drinks are excluded unless otherwise stated and the winner is responsible to cover any additional costs. The prize EXCLUDES travel to London Heathrow Airport, equipment rental, tuition and any additional costs and expenses incurred during the trip. Personal travel insurance is not included within the Prize.
3.Who can enter?
Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and a resident of England, Scotland or Wales. The winner will need to have in place a valid UK passport. It is the responsibility of the winner to adhere to the visa requirements for their travel. Millets reserves the right to ask the winner to provide proof of age. Employees (and their immediate family) of the JD Sports Plc Group (https://www.jdplc.com), or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion. Millets reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to decide if the eligibility criteria are met. If the eligibility criteria are not met, the entry will be invalid.
4.How to enter
Entrants can enter the promotion by completing the online submission at blacks.co.uk/portland, millets.co.uk/portland or ultimateoutdoors.com/portland. All submissions will be collected into a single prize draw. Internet service providers’ fees may apply when accessing the internet. No purchase is necessary to enter the promotion. Participation is limited to one entry per person. If more than one such entry is received, only the first entry will be accepted. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
5.Closing Times
The promotion will run from 16th November 2018 and close on 6th January 2019 at 18:00, any entries received after this date and time will not be valid. The winner must book their trip before 28th February 2019. The winner must complete their travel before 17 October 2019.
6.How are winners selected?
Every applicant will be allocated a number and the winner will be picked at random using random.org. The decision of Millets is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winner (other than with the winners themselves). The winner will be notified via the email used to enter the promotion. In the event that the winner does not communicate his/her acceptance of the Prize within 48 hours, despite Millets’ reasonable efforts to contact them, Millets reserves the right to pick another winner (in accordance with the procedure set out in this section) and the original winner will be considered to have waived his/her right to the Prize. In the event a winner does not accept the Prize within 48 hours, Millets reserves the right to pick another winner (in accordance with the procedure set out in this section) and the original winner will waive his/her rights to the Prize. For the name and county of the winners please send a self-addressed envelope to Portland Promotion, Marketing Department, Millets Outdoor Retail Limited, Warwick House, Pilsworth, Bury, Lancashire, BL9 8RR.
7.Winners’ Responsibilities
It is the winners’ responsibility to: (i) organise and pay costs for anything excluded from the Prize as detailed in What is excluded from the Prize? section above; (ii) complete all stages of the 'How to enter' section above; (iii) provide accurate contact details; (iv) provide valid proof of age, which is required to enter the promotion; (v) adhere to local laws in the UK (vi) comply with any rules, instructions, requirements, terms and conditions or regulations of Millets. Millets will not be liable to the winners or any other persons where they fail to comply with such responsibilities and any such failure may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
8.Personal information
By ticking the appropriate opt-in boxes you agree that you will receive regular communication from Millets (and its affiliates). Millets will use personal information which you provide, or which we obtain through our dealings with you, to sign you up to marketing materials provided by Millets (and its affiliates) and to administer the promotion. We may also use your personal data to tell you about Millets (and Millets affiliates) products and offers, and for market research including analysis and development of our products and customer relationships. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained in the promotional emails. 9.Publicity
By taking part in the promotion, entrants may be invited to participate in publicity at Millets at request if they are a winner of the promotion. Entrants agree that Millets (or any third party nominated by Millets) may in its sole discretion use their comments relating to the Prize and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid (including for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party). Any use of images or other personal information that could identify entrants will be subject to the entrants’ consent. Millets reserves the right to withdraw the Prize (or any part of it) if a winner breaches any of the terms in these terms and conditions or if they are found to have acted in a dishonest or fraudulent manner.
