Peter Storm Women's Phillipa II Down Parka

The coat is lovely and warm, but has a faulty zipper, takes a long time to get it zipped up. The downside is it is not waterproof, the water soaks in so I end up soaking wet and have to wait for the coat to dry before I can wear it again . Only fit for cold weather and no rain! Disappointed.

I bought the same version of this coat over 8 yrs ago and it has been brilliant/lasted all this time, but now has a tear in the lining, so time to replace. The original version is filled with down and feather (60% down, 40% feather) and has been great in winter - long, waterproof and warm. I looked at alternatives as a replacement but couldn’t find anything that compares, so bought the same again thinking it was down filled. It is nowhere near as thick and warm, the filling is polyester, not down, so am disappointed, but hopeful it will still do the job.

I am 5'11 and the belt loops on this coat sit on my chest at least 2 inches above the bottom of my ribs, and nowhere near my waist. This coat would not fit a taller person unless they had a very short body. This coat should be described as 'Petite' due to the length between the shoulder and the waist. Although I am tall, I have never experienced this with belted coats before so this is either a bad design or this specific item is faulty.

I found this coat great when it's freezing conditions but the zipper broke not long after I'd had it. Disappointing as it wasn't a cheap coat.

Nice warm coat with waterproofing. A little heavy but sure it will be very warm and keep me dry in a downpour.

Fantastic coat, partner really likes it and we've purchased another Peter Storm coat so she can wear different variations. However, the zip is poorly made and some teeth have fallen off the coat leading it to not zip correctly, as well as the zippers being able to drop off the track. This happened a few weeks beyond the 28 day return policy so we're now at a loss as what to do as no warranty is stated.

Nice warm coat with detachable fur in hood. True to size. Good quality.

Have a few warm jackets, but all too short. This one covers the nether regions, and am loving it....so cosy and weatherproof, and looks good too. Belt a bit higher than I'm used to, but daughter says that's the trend...
Took the advice of a reviewer & ordered a 12 altho am usually 10, and am pleased I did - it fits great over a pullover, and sleeves good length for my long arms...love it!

This is a good length coat and reasonably warm. The inner ribbed cuffs are an excellent feature keeping cold drafts out. It also does up nice and snugly round the neck. The coat is quite bulky; I ordered a size 12 (I am a 10/12) as others had said the coat comes up small, a 10 would have been a better size for me. The belt loops are way to high, and as there are 6 of them they are difficult to ignore; after several hours with an un-picker I managed to remove them, but it wasn't a task for the faint hearted. I'm pleased I bought it, but wouldn't have if I'd tried it on in the shop first.

Lovely warm winter coat, like wearing a duvet. I am 5ft 7in and it reaches to my knees. It only has two pockets but they are very deep and zip up so things are secure in them. The hood is big but can be adjusted if you want to improve visibility. Though coat is warm and padded it isn't heavy. The only negative is the belt. I removed mine, it sits too high up on my ribs, but also think the coat looks better without the belt, less Michelin man. I brought this for dog walking and football but it is smart enough to be worn going out. Overall really pleased with my purchase, and as I purchased in the sale I got a real bargain. Full price it would have been worth every penny

Bought this in the sale, (still on whilst typing this) but I would still pay full price for this as it is very warm, waterproof and quite stylish. Buy a size up. I bought a size 10 and it was snug. I am normally size 8-10. Size 12 was much better.

It's a good size and fit. I am a size 10 but ordered a size 12 as I don't want it to be a close fitting as I cycle a lot and a snug fit isn't comfortable. It's perfect for my needs as an everyday coat/jacket. It's warm but quite light and the quality is good for the price.

This is the second one of these coats I've had. The first one has lasted me 5 years and I will continue to use it still. I bought the second one as it was in the sales and I knew it was too good an offer to let it pass.
