Merrell Men's MOAB III Mid GORE-TEX® Walking Boots

Excellent boots, I was looking for some work boots that are goretex with a decent toe box and I was recommended these by an in store member of staff. I purchased them online as they didn’t have my size. Out of the box they were instantly comfortable and this was quite something as I’m usually very fussy and have worn many boots over my 26year career.

These are the first Merrel boots I have had and I don't think they will be the last. No problem breaking in, they were comfortable from day one. As for the Gortex it's still too early for me to comment.

Comfortable and sturdy straight out of the box and, so far, appears to be waterproof. Hopefully, they will stand the test of time.

I'm on my 3rd pair of these excellent boots. They're comfortable and hard wearing.

Nice comfy boot. Go for a size up for comfort. However, build quality not great. Mine split around the toe and are useless after 2 years of use. Indicative of the drop in Merrell manufacture quality these days, not as good as they used to be

I cannot comment on the Moab 3 so my comments refer to Moab 2 (no longer available). I have had two lots of the these boots and they are very comfortable and supportive. However both pairs were not waterproof. My first pair was bought just before COVID struck in the UK, so with lock downs it took a while to test out how waterproof they were. They were not, so I took them back to the retailer who kindly replaced them with the same boot. Since then I have used them extensively in dry conditions and they are great but in wet conditions they are like a sponge. I will not buy another pair.

Just ordered a second pair now they have dropped from £150 to £108 with todays current discounts!
I have tried many boots in the past and none come close to comfort and grip like these offer. I mostly use these for beach/off road dog walking, my current pair are just over 3 year old and still going strong just the soles grip have worn down mostly at the top centre of the sole.
Also these are the first boots i placed my feet in and knew instantly i would not be trying on any other brand!!! At £108 there a great bargin... happy feet happy walking ;)

Just finished the Camino Francais and these boots were great. There were many with expensive/fancy Trail Runners that wore out or they got shin splints (very common). I am using a similar pair of boots for my next Camino but with inner soles when I find the right type and size and Merino wool socks. I take 12/13 and last time size 14 (with two pairs of socks) as this allowed for expansion on hot days and thus prevented rubbing. Big guys need big tough boots or you are just asking for problems....these worked for me so thanks Merell !!!!!!

I bought one pair of these boots last month and I have just bought a second pair - they are sooo good. I'm disabled and do as much as I can to remain active. I need to support my right ankle and these boots do this brilliantly.

They are the best boots I have ever found. Plus they are light and look great too. My first pair will be work boots, and the second I will keep for best. :-)
