The Women’s Maitland GORE-TEX® Waterproof Jacket is a technical jacket that ticks all the boxes for a hiker who wants waterproof protection and still wants to move fast. Built with a 2-layer GORE-TEX® membrane, the jacket performs well against the worst conditions. It is highly waterproof, breathable and windproof which will ensure you’re kept warm and cosy.
The jacket has adjustability throughout from hood to hem further increasing its ability to perform in stormy conditions. Adjust them when you need to keep the elements at bay. Stash your essentials safely within the two zipped hand pockets.
The interactive (IA) zips inside will let you zip in any compatible Berghaus fleece (sold separately), providing extra warmth when the conditions outside require it.

Exactly what I was looking for
Breathable, waterproof, big pockets.
The hood design is more practical than other coats I have tried, the adjustable elastic is not on the outside rim, it is slightly inwards meaning the hood doesn't squash your face and there is a edge to stop the rain from hitting your face.
Inside pocket is perfect for keeping money and cards securely.
Phone has never got wet in the pockets, even during heavy rain.

I am pleased with...
I am pleased with the fit and the quality of this jacket, would have liked a vertical pocket on the chest area. I’ve been in a shower, but not any heavy downpours yet, that will be the test when hill walking. Has good wind resistance.

You can tell it...
You can tell it is a quality item as soon as you see it. Haven't used it in the heavy rain but by the look of the materials it will be effective.
