Eurohike Avon Deluxe 3 Person Tent

I've used this compact tent multiple times. It is resilient. Very easy to assemble on my own in about 15 mins. I leave the inner tent clipped in at all times just for speed of pitching.
It is waterproof having experienced "the best" the lake district and pennines can throw at it. I would say 3 season tent. Would not want to try it in very strong hurricane type winds although if guy ropes are all tensioned very well and using tough pegs then it will probably be fine.
In very heavy rain you do get a few drops of water coming in when the door is unzipped. Seems to collect around the top corner.

Bear in mind the price when comparing. For what you pay its excellent value for money.
Easy to erect, spacious enough for two in comfort, three....as long as you are good friends.
Things that are missing compared to more expensive tents :-
There's no inner mesh on the flysheet doors, so doors are either open or closed.
The side door only zips on the top and the side, no zip along the bottom.
The flysheet doesn't have its own integral groundsheet, its just the inner tent that has the groundsheet which extends into the porch area and clips to the flysheet, so its not a 'sealed anti bug type'

Perfect way to pass the time during lockdown. Easy to erect and has remained in the garden during all weathers with no problems at all

Does what it says on the box. Used over weekend of Sept 27-29 - Heavy prolonged rain with wind. No leaks etc.A couple of toggle fixings were missing to hold inner to flysheet but not critical.

I own a Eurohike 360 from 20 years ago which is still working well but showing wear and tear. The Eurohike Avon is to replace the 360. Avon is slightly smaller in the vestibule but still very roomy and easier to put up and with some nice touches (windows, vent at back of tent, higher tent ceiling with hook for hanging a light and front door with awning).

Great little tent, although it didn't rain, so don't know how waterproof it is.

Bought to go on the back of a motorbike great size and kept the rain out very well

Needs two people to put up. Poles get stuck, need someone to feed while other gives it slack. It's a good sized tent as its a 3 bed tent. The lobby area is good as ground sheet fitted. Two good layers. Only issue is that it is very awkward to try and fit the internal layer once the outer layer is up. It's a struggle to reach the back toggles when you are standing on it or trying to stand under it so you can pull it up to the fastening. Not sure how long it will last as its fastenings are all rather tight and all on elastics.

First outing with this tent, great value, took me 30 minutes to erect on my own. It was larger than I expected for a 3 person tent, however, it would be snug sleeping three, roomy for two.

Not impressed with the after sales asking me to return such a large item for a small easily replacement broken part! Just send me the part!! The tent in general ( apart from the one small broken hook ) is fantastic just what I wanted. Don’t be lazy with after sales just send out parts if that’s all that’s required!
