Brasher Men's Country Roamer Walking Shoe

Received these as a gift so could not return them. The stitching at the front completely failed and came apart on both shoes within 6 months. Consequently they leak and generally look awful.

I am so disappointed by these shoes. As soon as I tried them on I could feel a pressure point on my foot from around the area of one of the lace eyelets towards the toe. In a matter of minutes, there was a red area on my foot. From inside the shoe it was possible to feel a lump in the leather upper, possibly due to the eyelet itself but more likely due to the leather and stitching. It just wasn't worth the risk of wearing them for longer and being unable to return them, so they have been returned. I really love the Brasher stretch trousers and had expected a great shoe, sadly not.

2nd pair , 1st pair bought 2 years ago and still going strong but heel wearing down, 100.s of miles of comfortable walking.

I tried a pair of these but decided to return them and get a refund. I found the sole was too stiff and that meant that when I walked, the heel of my foot was lifting out of the shoe. It was a disappointment because in all other respects, they looked like the ideal pair of walking shoes.

I have worn many brands of walking shoe over the years, these are by far the most comfortable for me.

My first pair have lasted more than 20 years and are still in good order. Consequently I have no reason to think my new pair will be any different,

My second pair of these shoes. Takes a few hours to work in, but then very comfortable and can walk in all day. Wear well, but the stitching on the outside of the foot roughly just behind the little toe came unstitched on the first set on both sides after many many miles, but before the soles had worn out. So this is from my point of view, the first point of failure. However, very comfortable and outlasted other brands that I have owned.

I bought these over a year ago so they are out of the warranty period. I bought a size 9 which was slightly too large but were fine after wearing a sock liner. They seemed to be good quality, provided good support and were properly waterproof. Recently, the stitching has started to come apart on part of the upper. I have treated these shoes really well, applied dubbin and cleaned any mud off them straightaway. I have only used them for walking the dog, nothing excessive. These are expensive and at this price should last for years.

ive had mine 2 years now, used only for easy walks. the stiching around the toe area is now almost all undone. the padding around the ankle has split revealing the foam inside

Looked good but didnt last

The shoes look impressive and well made on 1st inspection but after a short trial of 5 mile flat walk (tarmac) I had two blisters! there appears to be hard part to the top of the tongue and this wore a hole in my ankle causing a blister, The other on the ankle (same foot) but I could accept that to a certain degree to allow 'wearing in' even though the ankle is cushioned. I'll persevere but wouldn't select brasher for shoes in future.

Not my first pair of Brasher’s, but like all the other a perfect fit right out of the box. I’ve never had to ‘break in’ either the boots or shoes and they’ll be my ‘go to’ choice of walking footwear.

Exactly as expected ....

The walking shoes appear to be well made, they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. As I have only tried them for short walks up to now time will tell how they will perform but I'm confident they will be good.

Clear easy to use website and prompt delivery.

They are made to a very high standard, but I am going to put a softer insole into the shoes.

I gave my purchase 5 stars although I had to return the shoes I bought, because they were a bit tight fitting they were very good quality.
