I am on my 4th pair of these boots and I would have rated the first 2 pairs 5 stars in terms of comfort and value. The 3rd pair would have been 4 stars as quality was slightly worse (and had to be exchanged after splitting) but the 4th pair are only 3 stars . They are now narrower in fit and the "leather" is stiffer. The metal eyelets are sharp and have frayed two laces in 6 months due to the sharp edges. So, disappointingly, I am going to look for an alternative make now. Yes, they are only £60 which makes them good value relative to others, but the quality has nosedived.

You need to delve deeper with these boots
First off very comfortable and light for a budget 'leather' boot. But the dubbing wouldn't soak in, and then the plastic false leather starts to bubble and you think you have been done and get cross as they said they were leather. Rather than bin them I took some time to carefully remove the plastic skin and underneath is perfectly good leather that takes in the warm dubbing a treat, which begs the question ' why cover up good leather with nasty plastic?' . Have had them for a year and a half and they did the Ridgeway and all through lockdowns and this dreadful winter warm and dry throughout.

poor quality 'leather' walking boot
I have now bought 2 pairs of these boots and both have split and cracked at the point where the boot bends when walking. They look super smart but after a couple of months of average use the leather 'coating' cracks and in comes the water. They are described as leather but they just seem 'coated' to look like leather. I thought the first pair must have been a one off but the second pair were even worse. Waste of money!

hi-tec eurotrek lite boots
I chose hi-tec euro lite boot online, they seemed ok-ish at first, but after 6 weeks mixed use I find that stoney ground is uncomfortable due to a weak/thin sole, I haven't walked in water yet but one review was negative so.......jury is out on that. A good looking buget boot but flawed.
