Disappointing design
No good
Didn’t make a whistling noise when boiled
And dripped when pouring
Good value but very quiet whistle
Most things about this item are good - looks, robust and price point. However, (and on mine anyway, so maybe something is broken/missing?) the whistle is very quiet indeed - not much more than a hiss, and would not alert you to the water boiling if you were more than a few yards away.

Unfortunately I’ve found the kettle to be very disappointing. When pouring water from the kettle into a cup, it tends to spill and splash rather pour smoothly. I’m not sure if this is due to the way the spout is attached to the kettle or for another reason. I would order from Millets again but wouldn’t order this kettle or recommend it to others.
