Performs just as expected , fantastic solid quality and very comfortable.
Millets always provides quality products at good prices. I was pleased with my first online purchase.
I used to have Brasher boots, when they were that, but then had a spell of buying so called waterproof boots from well known 'Brands' that were not up to standard. One pair leaked first time out. This is my second pair of Berghaus Supalite. The previous pair have been worn regularly for two years. The leather is beginning to crack where they bend but despite this they are still waterproof. The sole is now losing some of the excellent grip these boots have. So in essence I love these boots and they fit comfortably from day one. I usually buy 81/2 footwear and am happy these are 9. :)
I have worn these for many years and new ones maintain excellent quality and comfort
When first buying I was impressed by Thoth the lightness of the boot and the width (as I have wide feet). They were immediately comfortable. That said it wasn’t long before I had found limitations with the boot. The quality of the leather where the boot flexes is poor as over time this cracks and splits - there should be some additional strengthening in this area. I compared it with a 39 year old scarps boot - heavy but far more resilient so I am afraid I would recommend this boot only for the casual walker.
I’ve owned two pairs of these boots and although very comfortable they do not last more than a couple of seasons as the leather cracks even when the boots are well. Waxed on e regular basis I Altburg for me next time
tough lightweight
Never received boots from Millets, as they where lost in transit and received a refund and had to buy from another supplier. The boots themselves are really comfortable to wear.
Fantastic boots.
This is the second pair I have purchased, and I am delighted to find this pair as comfortable and well fitting as the first.
Buying them on offer a bonus. Had several
Pairs before very comfortable
Comfortable & excellent value.
As described, light, good grip, comfortable, and thanks to Millets, very cheap.
Do the job perfectly
Having worn and been fairly happy with Berghaus hillwalker and more so with their predecessor, the GTX, I decided to try these as an upgrade. I’d accepted the fact that Berghaus boots last a maximum of two seasons of moderate use, because they always fit my slightly wide feet straight from the box. These were vastly different. I wore them once and almost threw them away. They were stiff, uncomfortable and blistered both of my heels after a very short experimental walk with the dog. After a good soak in wet grass they’re easing up a bit, but still uncomfortable. My last purchase from Berghaus.
As with all Berghaus boots I know I can wear them without breaking them in
I've had many pairs over the years (fromwhen they were Brasher) and are now the only boots I wear. They're comfortable striaght out of the box and just get more comfortable over time.
My feet no longer hurt when I walk more than a couple of miles. The weakest link is now my fitness, not my feet. Can't comment on the value for money - I buy these things so infrequently that cost isn't really part of the decision making process. Within reason.
On reading the reviews you get the impression that you can wear these out of the box and into the hills! Don't make my mistake!
They are super light for a leather boot, but they give little to no ankle protection due to their loss of height in that area. So on uneven ground of wild mountains they aren't great.
So blister central around both heals after a wee 15km in the mountains...on their first outing. I accept culpability on accepting the reviews below. I probably should have broke these in properly. But initially I would say great for dog walking but not good for the mountains.
This is the second pair of these boots I've bought and they are the best I've ever had. The last pair have done hundreds of miles and hopefully these will do the same Found them easy to bed in and very comfortable
