If more permanent repairs are desired Tenacious Tape can be used with Seam Grip® or Aquaseal® Urethane Adhesives for an ultra strong repair.

Does what it says. Make sure you seal right to the edge of the patch to avoid it lifting (my rookie mistake).

This tape is ideal...
This tape is ideal for repairing rips in awnings and repairing any loose sections of tape on sealed seams of waterproof garments. It is so good that it is not a temporary repair.

Straightforward to apply with helpful instructions included. Seems to have been applied OK but not yet tested... Applied inside and outside the jacket to be on the safe side. Only time will tell how effective the repair has been.
