Essentila in the Lakes
Possibly the most satisfying item in my camping kit!
If you like walking or camping in the Lakes or Scotland you will need one of these. They might not look good, but you can live in peace while those around you get bitten and bothered by pesky biting midges.
There are plenty of cheaper head nets out there, but most are designed as mosquito nets. these have a much finer mesh which keep the midges out. I never stay outdoors in the Lakes without mine!

essential for midgies or mozzies
This headnet is much better worn over a wide brim hat. You might look daft but watching everyone else flinch and squeal while the midges eat them alive soon cheers you up.
