Ordnance survey maps are renowned for their scrupulous attention to detail. Their maps fold away into a portable, compact, hand-held size. And now, they come with a barcode which lets you access and download each maps details onto your mobile phone. Thus, one has a choice of how to travel with the necessary maps - OS physical map, or mobile download, or both. This seems to me to cover most of the required bases when off on one's travels.
