This is the third pair I have purchased. I have to wear quite severe orthotics which fit well inside these shoes and I am able to walk comfortably. I wear them every day
I got these shoes to replace a similar Peter Storm pair that I had for many years before the soles finally wore through. Unfortunately these have not lasted beyond 3 weeks.
I tried these on and they fitted very well, like my last pair. They have good, gripping souls and were comfortable from the start. However, after three weeks, I have completely worn through the inside lining of the shoes on the heels. This is not something I have experienced with other shoes, including my previous Peter Storms, and I always undo my laces. It seems to indicate a poor quality product that is not built to last
Years ago I visited Millets and asked for footwear that was a bit wider than the very narrow footwear I was finding elsewhere and that no longer fits my feet. I was shown these and they have become my exclusive everyday footwear ever since. They are brilliant. I've walked anywhere from 2-8 miles a day in them and have personally got 14 months to 2.5 years out of them before they've eventually fallen apart. They've been out regularly in all weather's and conditions. Yes, the material is breathable, so submerged in a puddle some water will get in, but no issues with rain, storms, mud, etc
