Although the shoes are very comfortable if you want your feet to stay dry whilst walking through some wet grass don't buy them. I've only had them a few months and they are letting me down already.
I bought these boots along with another pair of similar boots from another brand ready for summer dog walks and have worn both brands a handful of times. The Peter Storm Arnside II has already started separating at the seams on the front section and looks like it would spread if worn further. I will be ordering them again to see if it was a one off as they are very comfortable and hopefully will not suffer the same issue. My Merrell and Salomon boots I have have, lasted many years and I expected these to do the same.
I purchased these boots less than 6 months ago and they have started to come away at the seams and are no loner waterproof, this happened after only moderate wearing and the first time I actually used them for hill walking. Very poor quality manufacturing.
I have owned three pairs of this boot type.
All have been easy to wear straight out of the box. My first pair were brilliant. Comfortable, long lasting and kept my feet dry.
When these boots wore out I had no hesitation in buying a similar pair.
Different manufacturer? Different processes? But they were not waterproof.
A sale of the boot type made me try again to see if I was just unlucky with pair number 2.
Again, brilliant out of the box and happy on hikes in Canada. But then back to the UK and in slush they leaked like a sieve and not from just one place. Cold wet feet. Probably avoid.
Just bought the Peter Storm Arnside II Mid Walking boot and i am very happy with them, very comfortable boot, went out in the rain the other day and my feet stayed dry,the only problem is the laces are very hard to pull through the eyelets, the laces seem to be catching on the inside of the eyelets, they seem quite rough and not smooth, apart from that i am very pleased with them, don't think i would have paid full price got them at a very good price in the sale
After locating Millets Website, it was simple to order my Peter Storm Walking Boots, which feel beautiful to wear after getting them delivered very quickly.
