Good boots for summer
Not waterproof
Only had these on twice first time I thought they were great nice and light. I then had them on when it was wet outside and my feet were soaked

Very comfortable and lightweight....
Very comfortable and lightweight. Also waterproof - misjudged the tide at the weekend - my feet stayed dry!!!

Disappointed
Very disappointed with the durability. I wear these for walking the dog twice a day and they have not lasted as long as my last pair. Considering the price I expect much better.
clearly a manufacturing issue ?
bought a pair in January / February having read the great reviews and was really pleased very comfy and waterproof, now i too have to report that these boots have failed in the waterproof department, they have been lightly used walking the dog mainly on tracks. i have returned the boots to my local store on the advice of customer services where they were fantastic in replacing with another pair ( scarpa ) , i have owned several pairs of Merrells and always managed to wear out the sole before they have leaked!!!! very disappointing and needs looking into. top marks to the store staff .
Short shelf life
At first these boots were amazing. They are comfortable and the waterproofing worked well. However I've not even had them a year and the sole is coming away at the sides, the outer layer is peeling off and they've split at the big toe joint area.
Really disappointed.
Disappointing
When I first bought these boots I was so impressed that I immediately bought a second pair in black.
Now just 4 months later the soles on both pairs are beginning to wear through at the heel. Having the two pairs, I have alternated between them, had I just the one pair they would be showing this wear within 2 months. I have only worn them for dog walking for an hour to an hour and a half a day. Very disappointing.
Poor Quality
I have had these boots 1 year and 2 weeks (but only worn them for 8 months max due to having summer walking shoes) they have failed and leak water. I have been in touch with Merrell who are replacing them free of charge, when you look on their website at reviews, they have had the same issue as me. The stiching is coming undone and the other black upper is seperating from the sole. I am exctremely disappointed with the quality for the great expense. Luckily Merrell have been good, wonder how long a new pair will last?

Excellent boots, fit me really well and good support for ankles, yet flexible. These are my second pair of Merrill. Last pair survived about 4 years of regular long dog walks on hilly, uneven terrain.

Great product.good value for money. Only spoiled by shoddy customer service. I would recommend the product but advise buying from another retailer
Love these boots, worn them loads, really comfy, no wearing in. But, worn for the first time last week in slightly wet conditions and feet were wet. Had it rained my feet would have been soaked so the goretex is hopeless..so only really suitable for dry conditions
