Good value

Great tent, but you CAN NOT fit airbeds for 4. Its for 4 camping mats not beds.
Apart from that, it's roomy enough for 3 teenage boys to spread out. Easy to put up and sturdy

Brilliant

Bought this for a festival, and it was perfect!! For the price it is just the right thing we were looking for! You can stand up in each compartment without breaking your back getting changed! Loads of space at the front of the tent (we ended up having 2 extra people sleep in the front compartment as their tent was too small and still had loads of room) and the sleeping compartment was a great size!! Will be using this until it reaches the end of its life lol!

Great little tent for the price.

Bought this tent two years ago. Used about 30 nights so far, including out in summer storms. If pitched correctly will stand up to most storms. Agree open front door is a bit of an issue, but presume the bottom of door not sealing is a safety issue, ie you can get out quickly, and allows for good air flow. Easy to put up, even on own unless its windy. Am 5' 10'' tall and adequate headroom. Prob best suited for a couple, might be tight with 2 adults and 2 kids. Am happy with it, same they dont make an extension, as the FT flysheet is ok for sun protection but not much else.

Fairly easy to put...

Fairly easy to put up, you can almost do it alone but it’s handy to have another pair of hands to hold up the structure when you put some initial pegs in. Roomy for 2 adults and great for standing up in (I’m 5”5), it survived the rain test overnight and overall I thought it was great value. It’s been used so far for a 3 night stay in the UK in low winds and with 1 night of rain. The bottom of the front door doesn’t zip up but the ground sheet gets suspended up at the front by about 6inches when you’re ready to call it a night and then the door flap comes down and overlaps with this so there’s no visible gap. If you were worried about animals entering you could probably stick some self adhesive Velcro on both parts to seal it.

Fair weather inexpensive summer tent you can stand up in

Good, value for money, basic tent that I can stand up in with plenty of room for 1 or 2 people and a dog, but a bit squashed to sleep 4. Only 2000 hydrostatic head but stood up to heavy rain. Plenty of living space with inbuilt groundsheet and by pegging this out first it is easy to erect the tent on your own.
The negatives are…..
1. Thin tent pegs which bend very easily - so bought some steel pegs to replace them.
2. Door doesn’t zip along the bottom to the groundsheet so insects/rain etc could get in and small dog can get out! Fixing this by sewing some Velcro along the bottom of the door.

significant design flaws with this tent

As previous reviews have mentioned, the zip on the doorway of the tent does not zip at the bottom, allowing insects and cold air to get in to the tent easily. the sleeping section of the tent has a net at the top, so again, heat can escape easily.

Also, ensure that you are camping in a wind blocked area, as no matter how tightly you fasten the guy ropes & spread the ground pegs, the tent rustles very prominently in windy environments.

In my opinion, it's a cheap and cheerful tent, that fails to provide significant design solutions that other cheap tents do.

Great in all ways until it rains

Tent flooded within a few hours of rain. Front door doesn't zip at bottom. Bit useless. I'll be complaining as in my view its not fit for purpose

Do not buy

Bought this tent to take my children camping only to find the the front at the bottom has no zip and dosnt close up which is rather silly.

Nice tent

The hydrostatic head of the flysheet is 2000. If you need more info search for Freedom Trail Sendero 6. This was the original name, it's been rebranded as Eurohike but is the same tent. Best tent I could find for the money, I haven't put it up yet, will amend when I have. Hope this helps.
