Bought it few weeks ago(August 2023) and found it very useful for our camp stuff! I practiced to pitch it up at my garden before our travel and found it very difficult to do it my own, I'm not strong enough and really need a second person to hold it on the middle of the raised poles. So I decided to wait for my husband. Then after our messing one pole split(my husband wrapped it with a special tape)...When shelter done it's looks great! So at camp site it took us 15 mins to raise this up, we are done roof poles first, then 4 side poles and only then clips.
Either we received a faulty one or these are just utter rubbish! We're experienced campers and had our tents up in minutes but this Eurohike Shelter took us over an hour and one of the poles split. Poles are too long, clips are impossible to clip onto the poles and all the seams are so tight I don't imagine it would last very long. Returned it today for a refund and Millets customer service was great.
Brought this as additional living space and social area for clients when I run away trips, really roomy, easy to put up but as per another review, I put the short roof poles in eyelets after threading through main poles. Have put up on my own, but easier with two people.
Been used in some very windy conditions, force 7 and has survived really well, got a bit wobbly but stayed up.
Really pleased with the Gazebo/Shelter.
I actually managed to get this up on my own! However, the initial instruction says to put the roof poles in the eyelets, which makes it impossible to push the other poles through.. I put marker tape on the main poles where the fabric ends, to show equal alignment, because the fabric has to be perfectly lined up, otherwise the tension is wrong.. then put the roof poles through the eyelets. The rest was easy until trying to clip the black clips to hold the poles together.. I gave up & used guy ropes! Overall.. a great gazebo though!
Great for adding space to our tent and giving us a cooking area.
Once pitched can’t fault this gazebo, however, even as a seasoned camper I found this really hard to pitch. Getting the poles through the sleeves where the eyelets are is really difficult. The ring clips on the poles are also too hard for me to do up. I have pitched my 8 man tent on my own many times but this gazebo beat me.
Good quality. Reasonably easy for 2 people to put up although we struggled a bit to get a couple of the poles through where the stitching was a bit tight. The instructions are attached to the bag which we liked. There are ventilation spaces which can be unzipped to allow plenty of fresh air. The sides can also be unzipped and rolled up on warm days. There is plenty of room inside even when all sides are closed .
Lightweight and can be pitched by one person (although easier with two). Really big and plenty of headroom. Good that the sides are removeable. The fibreglass poles are fragile and I'm not sure how well it will stand up to heavy weather: only time will tell.
Product itself is good - better quality than similar ones on Amazon. However, the pegs kept coming out of our ground so the legs would come loose. Probably our ground is at fault rather than the shelter.
Use this as an extra room whilst camping in our campevan - it’s brilliant
We bought a Shelter last year and we have been extremely pleased with it.
The 4 doors are tremendously versatile c/w insect screens, so panels can be closed as necessary with the sun and rain.
Easy to put up. 2 people essential!
MUST do the roof FIRST. You cannot do it after erection.
Our only disappointment is the poor level of UV proofing, which meant it only just lasted 2 summers. At the end of the 2nd season, the fabric tore v easily indeed.
This is the downside of keeping the price low.
Gorilla Clear Repair Tape fixed it v well.
The poles clips and zips are all good quality
I have never written a review before .........I felt i should. Really pleased with this shelter. It covers our furniture if required in the rain and it is exceptionally waterproof. Its like having a room outside. Best part is that it comes complete (4 sides) and no additional costs. Great value in my opinion. Look no further.
Was a bit sceptical being so cheap with side (£104) but it's brilliant would definitely recommend?!
I'd been looking for a shelter for some time when this came up, and at £105 delivered (with the discount) I figured it was worth a try.
A pleasant surprise was the regular delivery service was quicker than quoted. Second was that i was able to put it up by myself and later put down myself. The bag is big enough that you don't have to be too meticulous folding the cover to get it back in the bag.
It was completely waterproof in some torrential rain thanks to doors that come free, not extra like other brands.
My friends were most impressed and immediately tried to order one but out of stock!
bargin...quality and easy to set up
We bought the shelter for a few different reasons -to use as a shelter when having friends over for a bbq, when my husband wants to work on his motorbike when the weather’s not great,as a shelter for doing some diy.It took us about 30 minutes to erect. It seemed fairly easy. It’s sat outside now for about a week, in rain and sun. It does seem waterproof and it makes a good shelter from the elements. It’s huge and has great headroom. We were lucky to get this in the sale with an extra 20% off.Would recommend this to anyone considering purchasing it.
I’ve just completed this box!
Perfect shelter for rainy days or just to chill and keep the sun off
Good Quality at reasonable price
This shelter is a great idea but the design is woeful. Seasoned campers defeated by what should have been easier than a tent. The roof poles are ridiculous so you need two people to do and the tension on the others is so tight that one pole snapped after one use and another one after second use this week, I suspect because, as others have mentioned, the clips to tie poles together are just too hard to do. It did keep out the rain and wind but was just a very poor design.
