It is getting harder to find a decent pair of all leather three/four season trekking boots, now that fabric/synthetic and Gore-Tex has become the sexy tech norm. Direct experience with two recent Salomon and Mammut examples has shown them to be useless at prolonged wet/boggy walking, the Gore-Tex is your only line of defence and it soon breaks down. GTX Hillmasters are thankfully still the business when it comes to comfort, grip and all day waterproofness. Not as sexy tech looking as the current crop, but definitely a benchmark in minimalist design that puts function above style. A classic.

The Brasher men's Hillmaster II GTX Tech boots purchased on 14Mar15 proved quite comfortable but in Feb17 they began to let water in, possibly mainly due to ruptures on the sides of the rubber heels where close inspection shows the insides of the heels to look like foam rubber, although the treads are not very worn. A stitched seam on one of the boots has come undone. I still find the boots to be wearable in dry weather but I had hoped they would remain waterproof for longer than they have so I have to say sadly I am disappointed in them.

Following all the positive reviews I decided to get a pair of Brasher boots as everyone said they were really comfortable - and I can confirm they are very. I primarily use my boots to walk the dog but by no means daily. At first they felt a bit awkward compared to my outgoing boots but before long they felt like slippers, very impressed. Good grip and great walking boots. More recently I have started to notice cracks and holes appearing in the heal after about 18 months usage (sporadic). I owen many walking boots and I've never had that problem. Just not sure how long they will last now!

I've wanted a pair of brasher's for years but they've stopped manufacturing and sold out to berghaus, very light, comfortable and appear to be well made, time will tell, can't see any problems

These are superb boots, I have had Brasher boots before and these have not disappointed. The sole is stiffer than my previous boots and the support feels more secure but they have only taken a couple of hours walking in to become as comfortable as my old ones.

Bought these boots last June and have used them every week since in all conditions and terrain.
Best boots I have ever had, comfortable from day one, totally waterproof and easy to clean.
