NEW PREVIEW: Berghaus Air Gets Even Better

Back in 2015, we were the first to bring you the brilliant Berghaus Air Tent Collection. Fast forward to today and Berghaus tents are being enjoyed by thousands of families at campsites up and down the country, and even further-afield! This spring we’re excited to showcase three brand new family air tents that are packed full of features – here’s everything you need to know.

Berghaus Telstar 8

Five Years in the Making

When we launched the original Berghaus collection five years ago, air tents were fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional poled versions, but were an expensive option. Berghaus Air allowed us to launch an exciting range of family tents with exceptional quality and very keen prices. So why are they so popular? Well the innovative air system means they can be pitched and packed away quickly. They are hardwearing too, often able to withstand strong winds because the air beam structure can flex; something that traditional tent poles cannot do.

‘Air tents can be pitched and packed away much more quickly than poled tents. They are more durable too; many times I’ve woken at a campsite to find other poled tents as flat as a pancake, whilst my Berghaus air tent is still standing strong!’ - Danielle, Senior Product Developer

NEW NightFall™: Enjoy a More Restful Night’s Sleep

Like a lie in? When camping it can be hard to sleep in past dawn and you’re often forced to rise when the sun does. Introducing our new NightFall™ bedrooms which have been designed to dramatically reduce the amount of light in your tent, leaving you to enjoy a longer and more restful night’s sleep outdoors. NightFall™ darkened bedrooms are made from a specially engineered fabric to help block out the morning light, allowing you to continue dreaming about you next adventure in peace. For 2020 NightFall™ is available in each of our new Berghaus Air tents, plus a selection of New Eurohike and Hi-Gear tents.

Meet the New Berghaus Family

As ever, so many details have been considered to enhance the experience of families camping in the new Berghaus range. Each new tent is fully accessible by wheelchair and pram, offers unrivalled versatility, and comes complete with NightFall™ fabric technology. Finished in a cool grey colour, these tents combine light and airy living spaces with darkened bedrooms to deliver on daytime comfort without compromising on a good night’s sleep. Let’s find out more about the new family.

Berghaus Kepler 9 Air Tent - RRP £1400

Liking the sound of the Kepler 6 Air but in need of more space? Then the new Kepler 9 Air is the tent of choice for you. Within its spacious and versatile podded dome design, this large family home can sleep up to nine people comfortably in three large NightFall™ bedrooms. Despite the increase in size, this tent is still very easy and quick to pitch thanks to the high performance TPU beams which can be inflated in minutes and deflated at the touch of a button.

Berghaus Telstar 8 Air Tent - RRP £1500

‘More and more people are looking for three zone tents (covered porch, sealed living area & sleep compartment). With the new Telstar 8 we have been able to move with the market to provide a huge family tent that is packed with features.’ - Dave, Camping & Outdoor Living Head Buyer

Introducing the biggest tent yet from Berghaus Air. Awarded ‘Best XL Family Tent’ at the 2020 Camping Magazine Awards, the Telstar 8 Air delivers on space, practicality and comfort. This large premium tent features within its traditional tunnel design three king size bedrooms and a removable fourth bedroom, all with new NightFall™ darkened fabric. A fully sewn-in groundsheet seals out moisture and bugs from the living and sleeping spaces. Once again the revolutionary TPU inflatable beam design allows you to pitch and pack away this outdoor mansion in no time at all.

At the front of the tent, the spacious integrated porch provides a large area with multiple entrances and a zip away door. This versatile space is perfect for storage, dining or relaxing come rain or shine, giving you an uninterrupted view through the extra-large tinted windows. Airflow is managed throughout the tent by a system of high and low vents for optimum comfort, while roll-away curtains provide complete privacy when you need it. Bedroom access is easy thanks to wide openings and no step over, plus the entire tent can be accessed by wheelchairs and pushchairs. Finally, the bedroom situated in the main living space includes a hanging rail, making it an ideal wardrobe, storage area or place to house a portable toilet. Its removable design means you can take out the bedroom to increase the overall living space inside.
