What Have We Done So Far?
Thank you so much to everyone whose bought a hat from us. 100% of the profits from those sales went straight into that total and the money raised will make such a difference to the charity and those that use its services. We believe in the positive impact of the outdoors on mental health and this is just the beginning of our partnership with Mind… watch this space!

Each ambassador has created a unique design for customers to choose from, so there’s something for everyone! Customers who buy a hat will be supporting an amazing charity, with 100% of the profits going to Mind.
Getting outdoors is an amazing way to support your mental health and connect with nature. Not only is it free and often right on our doorstep, it’s proven to boost happiness and overall mental well-being. In a survey conducted on behalf of Millets, two thirds of Brits (65%) claimed that physical exercise and spending time outdoors positively affects their mental health. One in four (25%) said they prefer exercising outdoors as it’s cheaper than the gym.

James has lived experience of mental health problems and received support from Mind and is now an ambassador and supporter of our campaign.
“Getting outside and finding enjoyable ways to be in my body was a real antidote to that suffering I had when I had the eating disorder. I think getting outside is very grounding for me. I am very easily distracted… and feeling the actual ground beneath my feet and the wind on my skin helps me to be present. Whether it’s going for a walk or having 5 minutes outside.”
As part of the launch, we are actively encouraging people to find the time to get outdoors in a Mind hat, take a selfie and tag a friend with the hashtag #HatsOnForMind. Why not ask them to do the same?

Hayley also experienced mental health problems and received support from Mind. She found that getting outdoors has really helped her to support her mental wellbeing. “Getting outdoors is one of the things that really helped me. I started marathon running after I had a heart attack…I just thought, let’s go for it. But it doesn’t have to be a marathon... its little thing isn’t it… I go on little jogs now. When I jog, it’s like my mind moves forward. [The outdoors] gives people a little bit of direction, it’s not expensive and you can do whatever you want to.”
With the cost of living rising, it’s especially important to remember that getting outdoors is free. So, pick your favourite hat, get outside and enjoy what Britain has to offer, and show your support for Mind and mental health!
