Excellent pack

Got this for DofE. Go with the bigger backpacks. The padding is not particularly soft around the straps however this does not matter as when you correctly use the positioning system seen in the picture, the weight is taken by the hips and back rather than the shoulders. If still unsure like I was, go to the store and try them out. The staff are really friendly there.

Robust piece of kit

Bought this for son for DofE. It’s taken him through bronze all the way to gold and been through six expeditions in temperatures ranging from -7 to +30, in droughts and downpours. It’s still as good as the day we bought it. There are minor design changes we would make to the straps on the outside but it has been incredibly tough and kept everything dry in all weathers, and fitted well (let shop staff help you adjust the straps properly).
