These gloves have proved to be waterproof and warm. The wrists are long enough to fit snugly under the sleeves of a coat. I bought L/XL and these are a good fit for my fairly big hands; I normally buy L, so if you have particularly big hands, I'd suggest you try them on before ordering.
I got chilblains last Winter that trashed a couple of my fingers. So thought I'd buy a decent pair of gloves to see me through the coming cold weather. The only part of my hands that I'm really bothered about keeping warm are my fingertips. This is however the only part that the gloves fail to deliver on. I don't know what material is used as insulation but it isn't up to the job. So, if warm fingers are your priority these are not the gloves for you.
