I liked this jacket so much I bought my dad one for walking the dog as it keeps you incredibly dry, He’s delighted with it.
Does what it says on the label
Much improved, now as good as they used to be with some detail improvements and a good price.
Very good quality GORE-TEX jacket. Was bought as a present for my son .
Have a black one so aware of just how good this is
Just what I was looking for, really keeps you dry.
This is my second Cornice jacket and I'm sure it will be as weatherproof as the first one. My first jacket was the Long Cornice and presumably this is the replacement, a good 3 inches shorter than my original one. Not an issue for me as unless a jacket reaches your feet you still need waterproof trousers anyway but a shame that the original selling point has gone. I've not yet worn the jacket but expect to find that a few short cuts have been made in zip quality, number of pockets etc. as highlighted elsewhere. Nevertheless as a Gore Tex lined, rather than a coated garment, the waterproofing qualities should be better than many.
A great jacket at an amazing price
Very "roomy" coat, good quality.
Four stars on quality because I felt the breathability of the garment is not what I was expecting, I have a Craghoppers that has kept me comfortable on very long walks.
Good I have had one before
Great value for money for a good brand name and quality.
Excellent product (a replacement for the same jacket now some 15 years old and worn out ) and I am very pleased with it. My only comment is that the external pockets in the new jacket seem to be somewhat shallower than the old jacket.
Excellent
Brillant coat , dropped a star as it is not a thick winter coat but you can zip.a fleece inside ,still.not super warm but it does keep the rain out
Good quality as usual from Berghaus
Fantastic value, the last one I bought is still going after 15 years.
I have given it 4 as it's too early to tell yet as I have only had it a couple of weeks & have only just started to wear it. If it last's then it will be 5 stars, good service and experience.
Great coat for the money.
Just needs some handwarmer pockets and possible an inside pocket
Already had one :getting old now. Like the new colour, and hope it lasts 8 years plus like the last one. Very comfortable fit and warm.
My new Cornice has a lot to live up to. Its predecessor (same version, in red) has kept me dry and warm for more than 20 years. but zips and poppers were starting to fail and it was beginning to look more shabby than chic. Enticed by the price reduction, I now have a brand new Cornice and as well as that 'new' feeling, I have noticed improvements to the hood to give better protection from the rain and in the poppers securing the waterproof cover to the main zip. OK, the pockets are not quite as deep but still useful enough and the overall quality bodes well for the next 20 years.
