I needed to buy a new pair of boots because a bunion had made my old ones too narrow and not enough room to wear thick socks. I had been putting off buying a new pair of walking boots until I could try them on. Lovely and comfortable and no rubbing from the start. I actually went up two sizes and they are brilliant. I can wear two pairs of socks and there is plenty of room. Well worth the money. Thank you for the help from staff at Bakewell Branch

Having had to replace my boots because of a bunion I had been putting off buying a new pair of walking boots until I could try them on. Lovely and comfortable no blisters and no tired feet, went up a size to accommodate my bunion but definitely worth the money. Millets in Stafford were really helpful too.

After years wearing a Zamberlan ladies boot, I tried Merrel Goretex but not waterproof and sole too thin. I felt every stone. These Supalight boots from Berghaus are completely waterproof and comfortable from the start. I’ve worn them scrambling over rocks and pools trying to beat the tide and rocky crags like Crinkle Crags with complete confidence in their grip and support. Can highly recommend. Yes the soft leather snags a little around the toe but with Nikwax cream they’re fine. A boot is made to be worn.

Light weight and sturdy
I have been looking for a new pair of walking shoes, having previously only bought shoes I decided after reading many reviews to go in store and try various boots for a change.
I have warn the boots several times now and can honestly say they are the most comfortable footwear I have owned, they offer great support and are very light weight, being leather they clean far better than other materials and have had no issues with water entering the boot. I take a size 6 and the fit was perfect.
Would highly recommend

These boots are excellent. This is my third pair over the years and they are worn almost daily over all sorts of terrain. Light enough for summer. Sturdy enough and waterproof for winter walks over the moors

I bought these to replace the Berghaus boots I bought 5 years ago. They were comfortable from the start (I have wide feet, so comfort can be a problem) so I'm hoping these new ones will be the same...

Love these boots, got them to replace a worn out pair of the same type. Hopefully they will be as comfortable and long lasting as the last pair.

Boots appear well made, and as the name states, Lightweight. Nice leather lining in cuff and rest of boot. All leather boots are harder and harder to find, especially with smooth, one or two piece upper. This helps with keeping them clean and waterproof - as opposed to the current style of suede-strip-composition. No half sizes, and somewhat loose in the heel area - hence, had to send back. This was very expensive (I'm in US), and absolutely pooched the otherwise good price.

These look and feel gorgeous. Really light and soft. BUT the leather is snagged and holed by a few walks through brambles so no longer waterproof (which is why I wanted them) and the fit is not as good as my Merrels (which are not waterproof at all) These don't seem to hold the heel and ankle in place as they are cut low behind, and I find the thick and not-very-flexible sole less reassuring. On the other hand, I wore them straight from the box and they don't slip in the wet.
