I usually buy Berghaus walking shoes and boots, but the last couple of pairs have been extremely disappointing. After 3 wears these shoes we’re not waterproof, shoe laces slip undone and although comfortable they don’t seem to grip. I only use these now on dry days.
Disappointed in quality.
I bought two pairs of these expensive good make trainers after wearing the first pair the right trainer seemed to me the feel of underfoot on ground inpact ! heal rotation inwards ! was obvious and rough places on foot formed and hip muscle problem's daily haggered me ! but good comfortable trainer narrow fit though only room for thin sock and laces thin kept slipping loose a lot of energy time setting up for a good walk they are also a hard no shock absorb walk ~ disappointed to overpriced! stopped wearing them after 6mths !
Great Goretex walking shoes
This is my third pair of Berghaus expanse. I do a lot of walking so buy a new pair ever two years when the waterproofness starts to fail. The design looks much improved against my old ones: the front top of the shoe is now solid rubber to better take scuffs and knocks. Nice to have a change in colour trim too. They are still so comfortable to walk in straight out of the box and true to size, I don't size up as they a generous fit . Pleased I've chosen these again and good value for money as bought in the sale.

I love these shoes, they are so comfy. I got a good discount on them otherwise probably wouldn't have bought them, but glad I saw them in the sale.

Shoes VERY comfortable but I haven't yet tested them in wet weather. They claim to be fully waterproof.

Although super-comfortable out of the box and waterproof, within a year the shoes had split on the side where the foot flexes (behind the rubber toe cap). I had another pair 2 years before and the same happened - assuming that pair to be just one of those things, I bought another - same happened. I won't buy Berghaus shoes again.
