i have used these boots for a week now wearing them every day for walking the dog,during this time i have walked on mud extremely wet grass and in the rain they have passed all these tests with flying colours,they are light and comfortable from day one and for £[$] a bargain only small gripe is they do not have a great deal of grip on slippery surfaces.i love them already

These are about half the weight of my old boots and feel like wearing slippers.The pair weigh about 1280g. I tried them in a Millet's store then ordered from Millet's online.In the shop I removed the footbeds (I asked first!)and fitted my own.I wore my own thin liner socks and medium cushion hiking socks.These boots are generously sized and I went down a size from my usual boot size of 9,So DO try before you buy.
The Millet's Footwear Size Guide doesn't match the Berghaus one e.g. Millet's show UK 8 as equivalent to EU9 but the Berghaus version shows UK8 as EU42,so take care if you order on Millet's website.
The high volume of these boots may appeal to users of orthotics.
I haven't done enough walking in these boots to comment on performance,durability etc.

Lightweight, sturdy, but most importantly, extremely comfortable to wear (I tend to forget that I'm wearing walking boots!). A bargain to boot! ouch!

great boots, i where mine all day at the weekends, no trouble at all even from new, great for walking. waterproof, i stood in the sea up to the ski hooks the water just runs off. They even make good motorbike boots. I recomend them for everything.

I recently purchased a pair of these to go walking on dartmoor. Despite heavy rain and snow my feet stayed dry, save for once when i had to cross a river in them. 5 days of walking and i didn't get a single blister. fantastic! the only down side is they have a habit of slipping on wet rock, i'd avoid using them on wet rocky terrain if possible.

These boots are good value for those who want a boot for most types of walking except mountain climbing. I have walked over 1100 miles with mine & still have some wear left in them.

Not suitable for long distance walking in the UK. Although having a Goretex upper lining, they are not waterproof. The upper gets so supple after a while that it folds over when traversing accross a steap hill and caused me to abandon wearing them due to blisters. The rubber sole offers grip on dry grass but fails misserably on wet stone surfaces. I would recommend you use them for short walks and avoid wet days. As described they are primarily only suitable for warm sunny places for short walks.

Who needs any other boot. These boots are comfortable and they keep the wet out. I bought mine 6 months ago and done a few hundred mile since. The price of these boots are excellent too. Cant go wrong.

this is the second pair ive purchased recently, the first for a friend, they have excellent waterproof qualitys, the only slight minus is the grip on smooth stone in the wet, but other than that i cant fault them

Bought these for my younger son to do the Ten Tors. Only had a couple of days to wear in and then did the 45 miles over rough terrain in the wet with hardly a blister. Others in his team had trench foot.

Recommended by Millets staff and can only thank them for advice.

Strongly recommend, so much so that I have just bought a second pair for my elder son.
