Gore-Tex®
Gore-Tex® fabric provides the best combination of waterproofing, breathability, windproofing and durability available.
It is a very thin microporous polymeric film of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that is durably bonded to a wide range of shell fabrics for outerwear and footwear. Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapour, so it prevents water getting in but allows water vapour (perspiration) to escape.
