420HC Stainless Steel: a high-carbon (HC) form of 420 stainless steel that works well with high production tooling. Its strength is optimised in Leatherman multi-tools via heat treatment.
154CM Stainless Steel: a high carbon, high allow, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel that holds its edge three times as long as 420 stainless steel. It is used on premium Leatherman tools such as knife blades and wire cutters.
Reviews
If you have never owned a Leatherman multitool before. This is a good one to start with. It is medium size and not too heavy to cary. It is similar to the bigger Supertool 300. I prefer the bigger tools best to try several models out before you buy one. Normally Millets have a display case of several types and are usually happy to let you try out and check the features.
