Waterproof defect after 3 months wear

I have been wearing these boots for just over 3 months walking approx 5 miles a day. The fit is true to size and they are very comfortable. Easy to wear straight out of the box.

The issue being the right boot is no longer waterproof. Just by walking in long grass with dew on, my sock gets wet. It may be a defective membrane?

The test will be what customer service do about it.
