Write a reviewJust an update to my previous review. I’ve hiked over 350 miles in them, the are still comfortable and still keep my feet dry. My misgivings about their robustness on rocky trails were put to bed after several hikes in the Peak District - they were fine and show no damage from sharp rocks. Initially a little snug, they’ve given and feel perfect for size now. I would buy another pair.
I bought these boots as I liked the look of them and the pricing was competitive (£85). Straight out of the box my first impression was that they looked small. Quick size check - size 10 as ordered. Put them on - oh my days, sooo comfortable. My toes are pretty near the end though, size 10.5 would be better. I’ve never needed a 10.5, sizing is on the small size. Having walked 40 flat miles in them they are super comfy, and very supple. I feel, though, in the hills they might not be robust enough and walking down steep hills would be hard on the toes without that (unavailable) extra half size.
Typical day before hiking up Snowdon I find that my sons Hitec hiking boots (about 2 months old) have half of the sole broken! Picked up a pair of these boots, without any time to wear in, hiked up Snowdon. No problems at all, my son enjoyed wearing the boots, really comfortable right out of the box!
