Great Trousers
Great but fall apart very quickly
Don't buy, they fall apart in the crouch as well as glue along zippers let go hence my two pairs ended up in bin. They would have been great if they lasted more than a couple of months. They're quit elastic which is really nice when scrambling.

Great trousers but not softshell as I understand the term - they are not fleece lined and offer no extra warmth.

I'm fast becoming a fan of OEX. I bought a pair of Strata trousers last year and "lived" in them throughout winter in some appalling conditions. Good protection, warm, dried quickly, well made. Can't agree with the review that said they fell apart but would agree that they're not softshell as I know it. That said very good value for money. Be careful with sizing. I'm a 34" waist but had to buy 36". As with their boots, don't buy off the internet. Go to Go Outdoors or Blacks and try them on.
